THE opposition coalition is like a cruise ship that is going nowhere, said Umno acting deputy president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, as he trained his guns on the party’s biggest rivals ahead of the 14th general election.

Although Zahid did not name the coalition, it was understood that he was referring to Pakatan Harapan, which has three top leaders and three deputies.

The Umno vice-president likened the coalition to a ship with six captains, each dishing out different instructions.

“So where will this ship head to? The answer is it will go round and round the same spot. A cruise to nowhere,” Zahid said in his speech to launch the assemblies of the party’s Youth, Wanita and Puteri wings tonight.

PH is made up of four parties, PKR, DAP, Amanah and Bersatu. Its presidential council comprises de facto leader, Anwar Ibrahim, chairman Dr Mahathir Mohamad and president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, all of whom are the same rank.

The coalition’s three deputies are Muhyiddin Yassin, Lim Guan Eng and Mohamad Sabu.

Zahid also hit out at Bersatu leaders who were former Umno men for being political shamans out to crush Umno.

“From being split in two, then three, now we are split five ways. Our previous leaders are now the political shamans out to crush Umno.

“In the past, these were the people who practised chaotic politics. May I remind you, do not lose all that you possess.”

Bersatu is a splinter party formed by Dr Mahathir, a former Umno president and Muhyiddin, an ex-deputy president, after they both fell out with current president Najib Razak in 2014.

Muhyiddin and Mahathir had protested against Najib’s involvement in the 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MBD) scandal. Najib has denied any wrongdoing.

Zahid also poked fun at Mahathir and Muhyiddin, who are Bersatu’s chairman and president, respectively.

“A voiceless president, apparently without power, while the chairman reigns supreme, making decisions at his own whims and fancies.” – December 5, 2017.

    • ............... under UMNO/BN, Malaysia is more like the Titanic; up above, the filthy rich, arrogant, haughty, corrupted, dressed in all finery and bejeweled indulging in debauchery ...... while below the water (poverty) line lived the wretched poor, crowded, dirty, hungry, thirsty, etc, locked up and nowhere to escape ...... soon it will hit the iceberg and sink below the waves .........

A washed-out & failed agency manager from AIA was appointed as chief asshole officer to lead axa agency force. Within 4 years - axa dived into the bottom of the cesspool with massive losses, agents thrown under bus and thousands fled to join AIA, Great Eastern, Prudential, Allianz, Zurich.
