ONLY locals will be allowed to work in spas, wellness and foot reflexology centres when these outlets reopen for business on July 1, said Senior Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

These establishments must comply with standard operating procedures set by the National Security Council and Health Ministry.

“They must register clients, check clients’ temperature, and have masks and hand sanitiser,” Ismail Sabri told a press conference on the recovery movement-control order in Putrajaya today.

“Only Malaysian citizens are allowed to work. (Employees) need to undergo Covid-19 screening before (the centres) are allowed to operate.”

He said MICE, or meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions, activities, as well as travel and trade fairs, will also be allowed to resume.

Masseurs and masseuses must be registered with local authorities, he said, adding that massage services by the blind have been given the nod as well.

He said only 250 people are allowed at MICE events, and travel and trade fairs.

“All visitors need to download the MySejahtera app to sign in (at the events).

“Organisers must also ensure the SOPs, such as visitor registration, temperature checks, inbound and outbound traffic control, and social distancing, are followed.” – June 26, 2020.
