Dr Mahathir-Anwar deal, Sarawak key to Pakatan’s plan to retake Putrajaya

Sheridan Mahavera

PAKATAN Harapan’s plan to retake federal power before the 15th general election will hinge on two main elements – the support of Sarawak MPs and a new deal between Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Anwar Ibrahim.

Sources in the coalition said a compromise must be struck between Dr Mahathir, who claims to be Bersatu chairman, and PKR president Anwar on who gets to be prime minister should PH pull off a counter coup against Perikatan Nasional.

  • Between Tun and Anwar, the best option is to let Tun take the Premiership until GE15. PH goes onto GE15 with Anwar as the PM nominee and Tun and the whole of PH will support Anwar.

Let's get real people, only Tun can cobble the opposition together and my feel is that Tun wants to make sure the corrupt get their day in courts and go through the due process of the law. That is his main "unfinished" business. No more DNAA like Riza Aziz.

  • I would like to add that GE15 is just 2.5 years away. So its not too far away for Anwar to wait. The other plus point is that, Anwar will inherit a must "cleaner" administration post GE15. Do not blow this opportunity YB Anwar.

  • Dr M can revamp the whole country Executive instituitions, Legislative reforms and judiciary reforms to clean up the entire country machinery before Anwar can run into GE 15. Anwar can start clean and fresh. Anwar can start planning his policies, people allocation and search, all sorts if reforms to put the direction if the country right and practical. Anwar needs a lot of time and team effort to prepare a ready team, ready plans and ready environment and conditions to march towards a developed nation by 2030.

    • Brilliant suggestion James Wong. Lets hope the parties can swallow their pride and ego for the sake of the nation.

  • All MPs who supported a coalition or party that allows criminals and theives to go free in exchange for their personal agenda will go down in history as the dirtiest MPs. They betrayed the voters, betrayed the party that gave them the opportunity to become MP and worst of all robbed the Rakyat's hopes and aspirations for a better life. These dirty MPs will pay their dues in no time as 30mil people will be cursing them days and nights for the harm and sufferings they caused to the Rakyat. So any MP who still have a little bit of conscience, please help the Rakyat rekindle their hopes. You will be blessed by the 30mil instead and your children and grandchildren will be so proud of you. The Rakyat needs your very most important first step, a life saving step. Please step back into doing good.
