TWO Malaysian-based Turks, described as “Gulen sympathisers”, have been allegedly abducted in Kuala Lumpur.

Turkey Purge reported that Turgay Karaman, the principal of Time International School in Ipoh, and Ihsan Aslan, a businessman, were abducted in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.

Karaman was abducted by five men in his apartment’s car park while details of Aslan’s abduction were sketchy.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has accused the United States-based Islamic preacher Fethullah Gulen of mounting the July 15 failed coup.

Last month, Turkey detained more than 1,000 people and suspended more than 9,000 police in a vast new crackdown against alleged Gulen supporters.

The Turkish Embassy has reportedly asked the Malaysian authorities to close down Gulen-linked schools in the country.

Karaman had been living in Malaysia for 15 years and his family told the Globe Post, they fear he may be extradicted to Turkey. – May 3, 2017.

  • This is worrying. Few months raw after Kim Jong Nam's murder, we have another international incident like this abduction happening in our country. Meanwhile, Zakir Naik is given PR in Malaysia as India is trying to arrest him. There's a lot of concern for Malaysians when this country has become hotbed of espionage, intrigue and assassination within Southeast Asia,
