Pos Malaysia to close for a day

POS Malaysia Bhd is tomorrow halting all operations and services for a day.

No reason is given for the closure, announced on Twitter.

The company has also suspended the shipping of motorcycles during the movement-control order (MCO) enforcement period, which started on March 18 and will end on April 14.

“The shipping of motorcycles throughout Peninsular Malaysia and East Malaysia is temporarily suspended due to the MCO as it is deemed a non-essential service at this time,” tweeted Pos Malaysia.

After the closure tomorrow, postal services will resume with revised business hours and limited counters during the MCO.

The new business hours are 8.30am to 3pm from Monday to Friday nationwide except for Johor, Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu. In these states, the hours are 8.30am to 3pm from Sunday to Thursday.
