THE Yang di-Pertuan Agong resumed his interviews with the remaining 132 lawmakers in Istana Negara as part of the process to determine a new government.
Ninety MPs were interviewed yesterday and were given a choice of stating their prime minister candidate or Parliament to be dissolved to make way for snap elections.
The interviews began at 10am and done according to party. Parties in today’s line-up include PKR, Amanah, Sabah parties, DAP, independents and the 11 former PKR lawmakers.
Pagoh MP and Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin arrived around 9.45am.
Simpang Renggam MP Dr Maszlee Malik, also from Bersatu, arrived minutes earlier and handed out drinks to media personnel waiting at the gate.
PKR lawmakers came at 10.40am in a group on a Hop On Hop Off bus, shouting “Reformasi!” as they arrived. Party president Anwar Ibrahim and adviser Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail arrived separately.
Around 50 party supporters with PKR flags were at the palace gates, showing their solidarity for Pakatan Harapan, which collapsed after Bersatu withdrew from the coalition on Monday. – February 26, 2020.
