MAKE up your minds if you want to stay or leave the party, said PKR vice-president Chang Lih Kang to supporters of deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali.
“I call on those who have a different opinion to make up your minds on whether you want to stay or want to go,” he said during the closing of the PKR congress today.
“What happened yesterday cannot be tolerated. The president has patience but I don’t. What more can he do that hasn’t been done?
“If you want to stay, please toe the line. But if you want to go, we can show you the door.”
Leaders and members of Azmin’s faction walked out of the congress yesterday, and most of them are absent from today’s events.
Most of Azmin’s faction was also not present at today’s proceedings.
Chang said it is unfair for the 24 leaders to boycott the congress and accuse president Anwar Ibrahim of instigating delegates to attack certain leaders.
He said Anwar has been very patient with the detractors and listened to their grievances and demands.
“But they walked out of this congress in front of the media and insulted the party and the president.
“People are getting tired with us and this caused the Tg Piai (by-election) defeat.” – December 8, 2019.
