THE Sabah Education Department is investigating claims that a Kota Kinabalu principal has been sending lewd text messages to pupils.

State Education and Innovation Minister Dr Yusof Yacob said the probe is being conducted by the department’s disciplinary committee.

“Further action will be taken based on the outcome of the investigation,” he told reporters at the state assembly building in the Sabah capital today.

It was reported that the parents of the pupils who allegedly received the obscene texts are demanding a probe into the matter.
