FORMER prime minister Najib Razak will be called up by the cops over online posts involving Perak DAP chief and Deputy Dewan Rakyat Speaker Nga Kor Ming.

Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department (CID) director Huzir Mohamed said Najib will have his statement recorded this week.

“Yes, we will call him. We still have three days to go before the weekend,” he said during a media conference today.

Last month, Najib in his Facebook post accused Nga of insulting Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.

Supporters of Najib also lodged several reports against Nga, who is also Teluk Intan MP.

The reports were over the “Nga Kor Ming Super Fans Page” on Facebook that allegedly insulted the sultan.

It was reported that Nga said the Facebook page was not linked to him or DAP but was masquerading as such.

He added there were at least two pages called “Nga Kor Ming Super Fans Page” that showed they were started in November 2018 and August this year.

Police had summoned Nga to Bukit Aman to have his statement recorded over the incident in early October.

Nga then in a statement urged the police to investigate Najib’s Facebook accounts for spreading fake news.

Nga was questioned for two hours before being released. – October 16, 2019.
