PKR is moving in the right direction and there are no real problems in the party, according to Anwar Ibrahim.
However, the PKR president conceded there were some members who were unhappy with the current scenario in the party.
PKR has been dogged by allegations of impropriety, betrayal and shifting alliances, primarily between one camp loyal to Anwar and the other to deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali.
Last week, party vice-president Zuraida Kamaruddin had said Anwar had not entertained multiple requests for a reconciliatory meeting among its leadership.
“We have sent three letters to the president’s office,” Zuraida had said.
She had said Anwar responded to the first letter by saying he was going on a pilgrimage to Mecca.
A second letter and third letter was apparently sent last Monday, according to Zuraida, to request a meeting between the president and certain members of the party’s Central Leadership Council (MPP).
Zuraida is in Azmin camp, who, along with other members loyal to him, have not attended meetings following the growing estrangement between the two top leaders.
Following Zuraida’s claims, party secretary-general Saifuddin Nasution urged her and those aligned to Azmin to attend party meetings.
“Just attend the political bureau meetings and the MPP meetings, then everything can be settled,” Saifuddin had said on Monday. – September 5, 2019.

1. Not attending a series of committee/council meetings. Under your terms of reference, what happens to any member who absents himself for 3 consecutive meetings in a row?
