A VIDEO on Facebook today shows Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad taking the new Proton Saga model for a spin in Kuala Lumpur.
He was accompanied on the drive by three people, presumably Proton representatives.
Also seen in the video is Proton chairman Syed Faisal Albar and deputy chief executive officer Radzaif Mohamed.
The new model was launched early this month in three variants β Standard MT priced at RM32,800, Standard AT (RM35,800), and Premium AT (RM39,800), which comes with a set of 15-inch alloy wheels.
The first generation Proton Saga was developed as the result of a joint venture between Hicom and Mitsubishi Motors in 1983. The car was officially launched in 1985.
The second generation was unveiled in 2008 and the third, in 2016. β August 18, 2019.
