SELANGOR Menteri Besar Amirudin Shari, who is also state PKR chief, said he has yet to receive a warning letter from his party over his public statement on the sex video affair.

“No, I haven’t received any letter nor I have been called in to explain myself over the matter,” he said after an event in Setia Alam this morning.

Previously, the PKR disciplinary board said it will haul up Amirudin and Perak PKR chairman Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak over their remarks on the sex video affair.

“The disciplinary board has been told to contact Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak, YAB Amirudin Shari and other members of the party. They will be asked to clarify their recent statements regarding the matter of the videos,” PKR communication director Fahmi Fadzil said on Facebook.

Farhash is likely to be asked to clarify his “Azmin semburit” statement at Dang Wangi police station upon his release from remand recently.

“Semburit” is the Malay word for gay sex.

Amirudin, meanwhile, said the person responsible for leaking the gay sex videos was “someone who had been through a similar ordeal and fought through a dark period of history”.

In June, a sex clip implicating Economic Affairs Minister Mohamed Azmin Ali and sacked PKR member Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz went viral.

Haziq admitted being one of the men in the video while Azmin has denied being the partner in the video.

A police investigation is ongoing with more than 10 individuals arrested and released. – August 2, 2019.
