UMNO deputy president Mohamad Hasan has claimed that it was DAP that had caused the split in PAS and led to the creation of Amanah.
“DAP’s objective is to split everyone. They are so good that they managed to split PAS,” he told Umno delegates in Lumut today.
Mohamad said it was DAP that had influenced former PAS leaders such as Mohamad Sabu and Salahuddin Ayub to leave their party to start Amanah.
As such, it’s not surprising to see Amanah supporting DAP in all its plans, said the 63-year-old.
Mohamad also repeated party president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s statement this week that Umno can never work with DAP.
“If you read their 1969 statement (Malaysian Malaysia), you’ll understand why we cannot accept them,” said the former Negri Sembilan menteri besar.
Following the last election and Umno’s partnership with PAS, the opposition had chosen DAP as their point of attack to galvanise support from conservative Malay voters.
According to Umno, DAP’s multiracial ideology was incompatible in a country where the majority race is Malay. Umno’s support among the more educated urban Malays has been declining and is now solely reliant on rural support.
Umno and PAS believe that they can take back Putrajaya in the next elections by avoiding three-cornered fights among themselves and focusing solely on Malay support.
Mohamad, meanwhile, flayed Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng for making a hue and cry about the “missing” RM19.4 billion worth of goods and services tax (GST) refunds.
“He said in Parliament that the government had been robbed of RM19.4 billion but the Public Accounts Committee found otherwise,” he said.
Mohamad said the money had not gone “missing” as claimed by Lim, but was placed in the goverment’s consolidated account.
“Other countries do this too. They put the money into a consolidated account, and when they need to refund, they will move the money into a refunds account,” he said.
Mohamad, however, failed to explain that the former government did not adhere to existing laws on the treatment of GST refunds or why the government had failed to refund GST taxpayers up to three years. – July 27, 2019.

This is the best scUMNO could think of DAP.
May be one fine day scUMNO will claim DAP created Israel and took away Palestinian land as well.

Despite the sheer size of the 1MDB and other corruptions by (D)UM(b)NO leaders and his goons, they are treated as if they have done nothing wrong. Not just that. You still glorify them. And yet you point your finger at DAP... Sungguh memalukan Mat Hassan hoi...
