THE PKR disciplinary board has issued warnings to several high-ranking party members after receiving complaints of personal and vicious statements made against unnamed individuals.

The party’s Perak chief, Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak, and Selangor leadership council chairman Amirudin Shari were among those who have been warned.

In a statement today, the board revealed that it had received multiple complaints regarding its members, including party leaders who have made personal remarks with intention to attack others.

It is believed that the attacks mentioned were linked to the sex video scandal implicating PKR deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali, who continues to deny involvement in the sordid affair.

Azmin remains steadfast, despite former PKR Santubong youth chief Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz naming himself and Azmin however as the two men in the video.

“In line with decisions made at the party’s retreat in Port Dickson recently, the board is committed to improving the party’s discipline as well as internal unity by promoting efforts of reconciliation,” the statement read.

“Following the advice from Keadilan political bureau, the board has issued memos to Farhash, Amirudin and several other members.

“They have been asked to give explanations on the remarks they made on the issue.”

The board added that it would continue with the next course of action if those warned failed to come up with positive feedback to their respective letters.

Farhash caused a stir on Tuesday after he called Azmin a homosexual and challenged the Inspector-General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador to arrest the first term minister.

He was among nine people who were remanded as part of the police probe into the sex clips. Haziq was also released on Tuesday.

Amirudin on the other hand claimed that the mastermind was someone who had suffered a similar “dark period” and had based their political struggle on this period.

Former state PKR deputy information chief K. Gunasekaran filed a complaint with the party’s disciplinary board, requesting that action be taken against Farhash, who is also PKR president Anwar Ibrahim’s political secretary, for his public comments about Azmin. – July 25, 2019.
