THREE-TERM Umno MP Tajuddin Abdul Rahman doesn’t care if the Parliament wants to suspend him for an eternity.

“He (Deputy Speaker Nga Kor Ming) can suspend me till I die. I don’t care. I’m free to come and go as I please,” said the Pasir Salak MP today.

Tajuddin said he is the victim and not Nga.

“He’s anti-Barisan Nasional and the opposition. He said I misbehaved. I only made statements against the minister. Is that unruly?

“He is purposely targeting me and not giving me the chance to ask a supplementary question,” Tajuddin told reporters after leaving Dewan Rakyat at 11.38am.

The Umno supreme council member decided to leave 10 minutes after Nga had exited.

Earlier, Tajuddin was suspended for four days from Dewan Rakyat proceedings for disruption and refusing to obey Nga’s instructions. https://www.themalaysianinsight.com/s/165226

During the minister’s question session, Tajuddin had posed a question to the agriculture ministry on how it planned to help farmers raise their incomes.

After deputy minister Sim Tze Tzin had answered, Tajuddin attempted to pose a supplementary question.

But prior to his supplementary question, Tajuddin used the 30-second allotted time to give a speech instead.

When his time was up, Nga asked him to stop and wanted to move on to the next question.

But Tajuddin felt the request was unfair as he had not posed his supplementary question. This prompted Nga to tell the Umno leader to move on.

During the exchange, Tajuddin called DAP “communists”, prompting Nga to tell the MP to leave the proceedings.

When asked about the “communists” comment, Tajuddin said he had been provoked by DAP lawmakers.

“They were jeering at me. When it’s DAP, everything is good. But with Umno and BN, everything is not good. Why didn’t Nga chide them instead?

“He’s always protecting the DAP MPs when he’s the speaker. But when the opposition wants to ask questions, he suppresses us. He must be neutral to be a speaker.” – July 3, 2019.

  • Good idea. A minister should move a motion to suspend him from the House for a further 6 months for disputing the ruling of the Speaker and for attacking the dignity and authority of Parliament.

  • Respect the parliaments time. If you talk nonsense and your time is up then sit down. There are rules in parliament. Dont behave like a monkey and create havoc in the parliament for publicity sake.

  • Tajuddinhas brought shame to Umno , Malay Race , Parents and the Country. His crassitude in being "kurang ajar" and abusive profanities in the parliament house are well known. I am just wondering how Umno is going to move forward if they have such wayward character to pull them down. The rakyat are waiting for him to be hauled up and convicted on charges pertaning to the scandals of corruptions. Nobody is going to miss him at all. The folks down in Pasir Salak will thank PH for getting rid of a pest.

  • Gentle reminder. Now with Umno out of contracts , if you are suspended for a long time , you will lose your allowances. How to go gaming at Genting ?

  • If you don't care, then resign from your MP post. You are an elected MP and it is your duty to serve the constituents who voted for you. Kalau tidak-apa attitude, baik resign je.
