UEM Group Bhd denied a photograph purportedly showing that it transferred money to the bank account of a cabinet minister at the centre of a sex video scandal.

The group in a press statement said it did not have an account at the Maybank Kuala Lumpur Main branch and neither does it have an account with the account number shown in the photo.

“UEM Group has lodged a police report and is ready to cooperate with relevant authorities,” it said.

The photograph shows what appears to be a bank transaction receipt with UEM’s name as the Maybank account holder transferring US$741,440 to a Deutsche Bank account in Switzerland under the name of Azmin Ali, who is economic affairs minister.

Azmin today denied being in a sex video showing two men in bed as alleged by Haziq Abdul Aziz, the Santubong division PKR Youth chief and principal private secretary of Deputy Primary Industries Minister Shamsul Iskandar Akin.

The sex video of the two men went viral yesterday, along with photos of the purported receipt showing the transfer of funds from UEM’s account to Azmin’s. – June 12, 2019.
