Enough of Najib nonsense

FOR weeks now, Najib nonsense has been flooding the Malaysia social media landscape with all kinds of filth, it is nauseating.

The heavy intoxication from the guy who once had a claim to fame of Najibnomics is now busy orchestrating his army of cybertroopers, led by his lobakman, to amplify the noise and clutter for the sake of messing with people’s minds.

It is perhaps because he doesn’t know what to do with too much idle time, that his mind has transformed into a devil’s workshop.

And of course, needless to say that he no longer has to “run the country”, balance between expenditure and development growth, and think of how to reduce the nation’s accumulated debt over the years – thanks to Jho Low and Goldman Sach’s efficiency in selling bonds after bonds to enrich themselves and get Rosmah her heart-shaped diamond necklace.

I have been scanning the Twitter feeds, Facebook pages, Instagram infographics and various digital news channel since the new government took over, and sadly, I found nothing positive. Not a single thing.

Every single initiative or announcement or project is to be criticised, condemned and beaten to death.

In short, he is saying that he has run the country better than Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who also happens to be Najib Razak’s former mentor. What a joke!

And this former prime minister with all the charges in court, as well as some of his former cabinet members too, claim that they have done nothing wrong when they ruled the country.

They are screaming “slander”. They were not corrupted, neither did they cheat the rakyat, because they were holier than thou. They stood, at all times, on the right path, according to Islamic principles. What a joke!

For this, I must say, the Najib nonsense dream team excels at what they do as a bunch of liars, for the blue-collared Malays and the village dwellers are starting to rally behind him, cheering on him, forgiving him, despite all the robberies and cheatings that could have led Malaysia to a total bankruptcy state.

Simply because, “orang kampung tak faham.”

The 1MDB scandal, although is it by far the largest financial fraud in the whole wide world, is just too complicated for the “orang kampung”.

The book is too thick, and the English is just “powerful” to be understood by the average Malay. Plus, they are not avid readers. But you cannot criticise them either. Because they are “sensitive” people.

“Tak boleh cakap, orang Melayu malas.”

Hence, we need to translate this book into Bahasa Melayu, or produce a 13-episode Sinetron on TV3’s Akasia, for the Malays to comprehend how ugly and big the robbery was. And we need a Fattah Amin or a Zul Ariffin to be the hero for the Malays to watch.

Simply because, “orang kampung suka tengok artis hensem and lawa.”

So, what does this “penyamun Malaya” use as his weapon? Just keyboard warriors, without the real keris or pedang.

His modus operandi anchors on religion and plays up on ethnicity.

“Majukanlah ketuanan Melayu. Marilah kita bangkit di atas nama Islam. Di manakah hak Melayu?”

Wake up and suddenly, the Malays are in their ketuanan Melayu outfits and they rush to Tesco to get a selfie with the former prime minister who buys his own eggs and cooking oil. Oh, come on.

How much were these people paid? A box of Milo each, perhaps?

Simply because, “orang kampung suka selfie.”

Enough of Najib nonsense already. It is because of your lavish lifestyle and those of the top management of Lembaga Tabung Haji that we, depositors are awarded with the “hibah” of 1.25%.

For me personally, it’s no big deal. I am fortunate enough to know the inside stories of LTH during Najib nonsense’s heydays.

I was fortunate enough to move it all out before disaster struck.

Wake up and suddenly the term “hibah” is used so widely. Ustaz after ustaz are offering explanation, in hope to pacify the Malay depositors. But who really cares?

Wake up and suddenly, we go back to the fundamentals of performing pilgrimage and not use is as a savings instrument. Really?

“Lagi, orang kampung marah.”

Whatever it is, I am sick and tired of this playing up of ketuanan Melayu stories.

I am sick and tired of Malays criticising the other races and claiming rights to this land that belongs to Malaysians.

“Semuanya nak senang, nak free, nak priority!”

If the Malays have not understood that they are not the ones running the economy in this country, then they need to wake up from their deep slumber.

They need to be more observant during Chinese New Year, when shops are closed and commerce slows down.

They need to understand the market demands and supplies before they open up their mouths and talk about religion or ethnicity.

I am not an economist, and that’s why I didn’t bother reading Tabung Haji’s lengthy explanation on debts, sukuks and SPV. That is not my major preoccupation.

I am just annoyed that the “orang kampong” have been cheated with their hard-earned money. I am talking about our farmers, fishermen, padi field workers, teachers, policemen, bus drivers, etc.

And how does Najib react to all this?

He makes another mockery of the Pakatan Harapan government and continues to deceive the minds of the blue-collared Malays, so much so, that they are willing to forgive him for all his wrongdoings that have cost us much in the recent change of government.

In any government change, the market will move downwards first, before it can go up the hockey stick again. In any government change, investors will have a “look and see” attitude. The Malaysian Bourse reflects exactly that.

So, “malu apa bossku”, can you please stop it already with your nonsense, as not all 30 million Malaysians are foolish enough to buy all that you promote and sponsor on social media.

Some of us are busy correcting the blunders you thrived on, and we are busy moving Malaysia back on its track to becoming a high-income status nation. It is a lot of blood, sweat and tears.

So, “malu apa bossku”, why don’t you just sit quietly in your lavish mansion, sink your 66-year-old teeth into your expensive chocolates, made in Switzerland, in the fridge and perhaps take on a new hobby to keep your brain away from being a devil’s workshop?

GE15 is four years away. Rest now, please. – April 7, 2019.

  • " ..... Because they are sensitive people ......" ............ and also immensely "confused" ..... including the VVVVVIP ....

    Just wait.

We are RM1 trillion in debt and government debts keep on piling because every year we have a deficit budget, "tambah lagi" by a huge supplementary budget.

And then we kept on bailing out GLCs (due to fake accounts) ....... TRX (RM2.8 b), TH (RM10 b) and Felda (RM3 b). More will be coming soon.

In 10 years, our petroleum reserves will run out. Can Malaysia then survive on taxation alone? I doubt it.

    A bankrupt nation surely?
