NAJIB Razak’s daughter gushed about her father’s strength, kindness and love as he faces his first corruption trial tomorrow in relation to the scandal-plagued 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB).

Nooryana Najwa Najib said she, along with “thousands” of supporters, are praying for him, adding that the trial will also be a chance for the former prime minister to vindicate himself.

“This past year, more than ever, you taught me to be kind in the face of cruelty,” she said on her Instagram account.

“You taught me to be brave in the face of uncertainty, You taught me to trust in the face of hopelessness, You taught me to love in the face of hate.

“Most of us can afford to fail in private. You had to fail in public.

“But, that just also means while most of us rise up alone, you get to rise up in the eyes of millions.”

Nooryana, better known as Yana, urged Najib to ignore his haters who were intent on “shaming you”.

“For every dozen who rejoice at shaming you, there are hundreds who stand with you. There are thousands who wish you well and pray for you. I am one of them,” she said.

Investigations into 1MDB’s losses kicked off after Pakatan Harapan won the 14th general election last May.

The probes led to dozens of allegations against Najib, who is slapped with 42 charges of corruption and money-laundering.

After several delays, his trial for money-laundering, corruption and abuse of power over the transfer of money from a former 1MDB subsidiary, SRC International, begins tomorrow.

He faces three counts of criminal breach of trust, three counts of money-laundering, and one count of power abuse, over sums amounting to RM42 million belonging to SRC.

Najib has pleaded not guilty to all charges. – April 2, 2019.

  • In Malay terms to express the overdoing articulation by the lanun daughter.----- luat lah aku !!!!. Know your place in society and most importantly know what your papa did !!!!! No amount of flowery languages and remorseful dictation will enable any cleaning up of your papa image in Malaysia. He is thoroughly to be forsaken by his unbelievable insanely immoral act of devilish nature. His plundering and runing the country to the depth of abysm are unforgivable. Thanks your lucky star that you manage to get out to a foreign country and still have the opportunity to write up beautiful but senseless poetic message. You know what it only helps to anger the rakyat more, giving rise to intolerable patience to see your papa receive his due judgement which we believe will open up startling details and where the money is hidden. You better enjoy as much as you can for you neverknow what might hit you next.

Of course, Najib has to face public shame for stealing public funds.
