A DEFIANT Noh Omar said he will continue to enter the Dewan Rakyat chamber despite being suspended for three days by deputy speaker Nga Kor Ming.

The Tanjung Karang member of parliament said his current term was his sixth.

“I know the rules. How can I be suspended without a fair hearing?

“I will continue to enter the chamber. I don’t know which standing order he used to suspend me,” he said in the Parliament lobby today.

Noh added the Standing Order rule 44 states that the speaker should have ruled such an action be taken when the MP was in the chamber.

He added the rule requires the MP to explain his statement before any ruling is made.

“But I was suspended for three days without my knowledge. If Nga felt I had been disrespectful, he should have suspended me yesterday.

“Why did he want to do this today? Why the hurry to suspend me. I should have been in the chamber when he did this.” – March 19, 2019
