PKR members want action against Latheefa for smearing party, Anwar

SOME 30 PKR members want action taken against Latheefa Koya after the latter accused the party’s leadership of cronyism and nepotism in the appointment of state chiefs.

Malaysiakini reported that the members will file a report with PKR’s disciplinary board, saying that her statement had smeared the party and its president Anwar Ibrahim, at the party’s headquarters in Petaling Jaya tomorrow.

“We want to request the disciplinary board to take action against her. We will talk more about this at a press conference tomorrow,” said PKR Klang information chief Mohd Farazi Shah.

Latheefa’s statement came just hours before Nurul Izzah, Anwar’s daughter, resigned as PKR vice-president and the party’s newly appointed Penang chief on Monday.

Pasir Gudang MP Hassan Karim similarly rejected his appointed as Johor PKR chief, saying the selection process for state chiefs was not transparent.

Nurul Izzah had said she will not retract her resignation despite the pleas of party members. – December 19, 2018.

    Please be sensible and logical in your assessment and thinking..
    Lathers is true in every sense.. if you put your heads together and think deeper, she is actually means well and makes those statements to protect PKR, so that the party can take necessary measures and put in place processes and procedures to avoid Nepotism & Cronyism..
    Come on think la a bit.. use your common sense...
    Nurul as VP, PKR Chairman Penang, Key positions in GLCs, Penang Wan Azizah DPM, PKR Adviser, DSAI PResident, PKR, PM-in-waiting..
    Looks to me Anwar is well positioning his family to ensure their continued role.. If that isnt nepotism and cronyism, that what is?
    Lateefa is correct in highlighting the weaknesses in the party. She is doing an excellent job..
    To the 30 PKR members, no need to carry DSAIs ba..s. Tak payah angkat-angkat!

  • PKR members... if Lateefa is wrong, then why must Nurul resign? Answer that please.. Maybe she felt guilty because she held key positions in the party and government because her DAD is the party PRESIDENT..
    I sure Nurul resigned because she felt the President is practising nepotism, cronyism & favouritism..
    If you think Lateefa is at fault, how about what Rafizi and KJ think for supporting Nuruls resignation? I think they feel the same way..

  • Hello Latheefa is right. There is too much nepotism and cronyism. PKR better put it right otherwise the party will be gone. Rafizi is making so much about others. Why don't you look at your own backyard.

  • When will the culture of BODEK be done away with? Latheefa Koya is a stateswoman who stands tall among the rest who prefer to keep silent, or who cannot even see that something is not right. Latheefa, please keep up your excellent work in speaking up without fear or favour.
