THE Save Seafields Temple Task Force said the injuries sustained by fireman Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim were not due to a mob attack, but from an accident that occurred during the rescue.
Task force leader S. Ramaji said he had received some video evidence that showed Adib was hit by a reversing fire engine.
He said the driver of the vehicle was not conscious Adib was behind the vehicle.
“Today, we have some clues. There was a rumour saying that the mob pulled him out of the vehicle and beat him.
“What actually happened was that he stood at the back of the fire engine, and the fire engine reversed so fast it hit him onto a car that was at the back,” Ramaji told reporters.
Ramaji said he got the video, which has since gone viral, from Facebook.
Other task force members also denied attacking the fire engine. – November 28, 2018.
