FGV CEO 'last witness' in internal probe

EMBATTLED Felda Global Ventures Holdings Bhd (FGV) chief executive officer Zakaria Arshad is expected to be the last witness to testify in FGV’s internal probe today.

Zakaria told Utusan Malaysia that he would testify in the internal proceedings starting at 9am.

“The probe will continue tomorrow and I will be the last witness.

“I have already given my statement to the internal inquiry,” Zakaria was reported as saying.

Earlier, newly appointed FGV chairman Sulaiman Mahbob said the internal probe would announce its decision today, and that four individuals, including Zakaria and chief financial officer Ahmad Tifli Mohd Talha, had testified.

Zakaria and Tifli were suspended in June to enable FGV’s internal auditing team to further probe into purported irregularities involving deals between FGV subsidiary Delima Oil Products and Afghan company Safitex worth several million ringgit. – August 15, 2017.
