NAJIB Razak has left the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission headquarters after more than six hours of questioning.
It is believed that he left through a back exit, and was taken away in a white Toyota Vellfire.
The former prime minister was summoned to the MACC headquarters at 10am.
A source earlier told The Malaysian Insight that Najib was being questioned over a fresh case related to the 1Malaysia Development Bhd scandal, and is expected to face more charges.
MACC sources said he was called in to assist in investigations into 1MDB’s debt payments to International Petroleum Investment Co.
Today marks the fifth time the Pekan MP has been questioned by the anti-graft body.
He has already been slapped with 32 money laundering, corruption and abuse of power charges, in relation to former 1MDB unit SRC International Sdn Bhd and the RM2.6 billion “donation” from Saudi royals.
Apart from the MACC probe, Najib is also being investigated by police under the Anti-Money Laundering Act. – October 16, 2018.
