Sabah CM pays last respects to Mahadzir Lokman

SABAH Chief Minister Mohd Shafie Apdal paid his last respects to TV personality Mahadzir Lokman at Queen Elizabeth Hospital today.

The Parti Warisan Sabah president, accompanied by his wife, Suryani Shuaib, arrived at the hospital at 1.55pm.

He immediately headed for the hospital’s Pathology Unit, and left at 2.13pm.

A close friend of former TV3 newscaster Mahadzir found him unconscious in his room at a hotel in Kota Kinabalu this morning. He was declared dead by a doctor later.

Mahadzir and his friend’s family had checked into the Shangri-La Tanjung Aru Resort and Spa on Tuesday.

It was reported that his friend last saw him at 10.40pm yesterday.

Police said he sent a “good morning” text message to a WhatsApp group about 5am today.

It is understood that Mahadzir was supposed to host an event at the hotel tonight. – August 3, 2018.
