PRIME Minister Anwar Ibrahim is set to host his national-level Hari Raya Aidilfitri open houses in PAS-held Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu.

This is also the first time a prime minister’s Raya open house is being held out of the official residence in Putrajaya.

More tellingly, the open houses in these three states come as Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional continue to ramp up support for the state elections.

Anwar is also set to host similar events in three other states that will also be holding its elections later this year – the PH states of Selangor, Penang and Negri Sembilan. 

In a statement today, the Prime Minister’s Office said the event in Kedah will be on April 29 at Hotel Raia, Alor Star from 10am to 2pm.

This will be followed by the second leg at the Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium in Kota Baru on May 12, which will kick off at 7pm.

The following day will see the third leg at the Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin, Kuala Terengganu, also at night.

The dates for events in Selangor, Penang and Negri Sembilan have not been announced. – April 20, 2023.
