PERIKATAN Nasional (PN) has pledged to create one million jobs for the people in five years if the coalition wins the November 19 general election.

Speaking at the launch of PN’s election manifesto in Shah Alam tonight, chairman Muhyiddin Yassin also promised to continue with the Budget 2023 initiatives proposed by Ismail Sabri Yaakob’s administration.

“PN is a coalition that will focus on bread-and-butter issues faced by the people. We guarantee all initiatives under Budget 2023 will be implemented.

“This includes aid to the people and civil servants.”

The manifesto, themed “prihatin, stabil, bersih”, has 234 promises with 30 implementation methods.

Muhyiddin also assured that his future government will continue to defend the constitution, uphold Islam as the religion of the federation and protect the rights of all races.

Present at the launch were PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang and his deputy Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man, Gerakan president Dominic Lau and Bersatu Supreme Council member Mohamed Azmin Ali.

Muhyiddin, who is the incumbent Pagoh MP, said the 12 core issues PN will deal with include establishing a competitive economy, improving the people’s quality of life and ensuring clean politics and administration.

He also pledged to uplift the Bumputeras, Orang Asli and other communities, drive regional development, preserve the environment and encourage tourism, among others.

Taking a potshot at Pakatan Harapan (PH) and Barisan Nasional, Muhyiddin stressed that the benchmark set by PN on matters of integrity was higher than that of its rivals.

“This is why those who are facing corruption charges are contesting in the general election,” he said.

He did not name the individuals but it is believed he was referring to Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and DAP’s Lim Guan Eng.

“But that is their problem, not ours,” he said in jest.

Muhyiddin said voters will be able to differentiate and assess which party is more committed to ensuring a corruption-free nation.

Although he accused PH of having a lower standard than PN, Muhyiddin said he would continue with the national anti-corruption plan, a five-year initiative introduced by the PH government in 2019.

“We will also set up an anti-corruption court and amend laws in relation to political funding to curb the menace,” he added. – November 6, 2022.

  • The only good idea he has is the continuation of PH initiatives against corruption! Bodoh Dan kosong Pemimpin yang telah expire! Shamelessly promising this and that after being a failed PM.
