Stop speculating on Indira Gandhi's case, says IGP

POLICE are advising people not to make any kind of speculation in the case of Muhammad Riduan Abdullah who has reportedly failed to hand over his youngest daughter to his former wife M. Indira Gandhi.

Inspector-General of Police Mohamad Fuzi Harun said today the police had deployed teams to locate Muhammad Riduan.

“This is a sensitive matter. Assumptions can jeopardise public order and national security,” he said at a press conference after launching the road safety campaign “Ops Selamat 12” in conjunction with the Chinese New Year festive season.

Mohamad Fuzi had said in a statement that efforts were ongoing to trace Muhammad Riduan, previously known as K. Pathmanathan, based on a warrant of committal issued by the Ipoh High Court on May 30, 2014.

The statement was issued following the remark by Indira Gandhi that police had no excuse to not locate and arrest her former husband who she said had failed to hand over their daughter to her. – Bernama, February 5, 2018.
