“When we started, we had nothing but each other, but we were happy. Now we are on a journey to go back to that happiness.”

After spending two decades building their careers in advertising, Rene and Sam decided to trade it all in, in exchange for a life on the road. All because they wanted to spend more time together.

In April 2017, the couple, both in their 40s, began selling off their possessions and bought a second-hand Toyota Liteace Premio and repurposed it to become a mobile home which they named “Vanhalen”.

Togther with their pets, Rene and Sam have travelled to the East Coast of Malaysia and to Thailand. They are planning make a six-month drive to the United Kingdom in April 2019.

While currently living off their savings, the couple hope to generate income via partnerships and sponsorship. Through their YouTube channel, Rene and Sam document their journey and experiences along the way.
