POLICE are still investigating the former aide of the deputy home minister caught filming upskirt an optician while his former boss had his eyes examined.
The investigation paper has yet to be completed, hence delaying the case, a police source from the Sentul district police station told the Malaysian Insight.
“The IP is still with us, it has not been given to the DPP (deputy public prosecutor). We will charge once everything is complete,” the source said.
Last Sunday, Deputy Home Minister Azis Jamman sacked the aide after a police report was lodged against him.
The aide, however, denied recording any upskirt video.
He said he did not tape the woman as alleged in her police report, which was lodged on Saturday.
The man handed over his phone to the woman after she confronted him.
“I knew about the report but the taping did not occur. It looked like I taped her but I did not.
“It was her assumption. When she confronted me, I gave my phone to her, for her to check,” the aide said.
In the police report lodged at the Sentul district police station, the woman in her 30s said the suspect came to the store in Solaris Dutamas, Kuala Lumpur, together with Azis about 11am.
The woman then brought Azis and his assistant into the treatment room and while having the deputy minister’s eyes checked, the suspect took out his handphone and started recording the woman from behind.
The woman stated in her report that she felt that something was amiss about the man’s behaviour and the store’s CCTV recording captured the moment when the suspect recorded the woman from under her skirt.
Sentul district police chief R. Munusamy confirmed receiving the report but did not disclose any other information.
The clip, meanwhile, has gone viral on social media. – September 12, 2018.
