DEWAN Rakyat Speaker Pandikar Amin Mulia today took a jab at opposition MPs following a suit filed against him for rejecting questions on 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) in Parliament

He expressed his disappointment during a dispute between Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism Minister Hamzah Zainuddin and opposition MPs in the Dewan Rakyat.

“Don’t do this… before I came in just now I already said cynically that I couldn’t make a ruling because I’ve been dragged to the court simply for making a ruling.

“So I don’t have to decide whether my decision was sub judice or not as I can’t make a decision. All of us have promoted the standard of our parliament to ‘world class’,” he said in Parliament.

Petaling Jaya Selatan MP Hee Loy Sian earlier today filed a suit against Pandikar over his “unlawful rejection” of the MP’s questions on 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) in parliament.

Hee said Pandikar had refused to allow two questions he raised on 1MDB. – August 2, 2017.
