ANWAR Ibrahim has advised the government to pay more attention to Malay rights, said Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

He said the incoming PKR president was not criticising government policies, but only highlighting his concerns.

“He did not criticise. He made some remarks about it.

“He feels that we are not paying attention to the welfare of Malays, for example,” Dr Mahathir told reporters after a meeting with Asean business leaders today.

Under an agreement reached between Pakatan Harapan components, Anwar will take over from Dr Mahathir as prime minister.

Dr Mahathir said Anwar did not mention contesting in any by-election to pave the way for his return to Parliament, which would set him on course to become prime minister.

“He didn’t say anything about contesting. He just came and saw me, we had discussions, but nothing about him contesting,” he said of a meeting with the PKR leader yesterday.

Several PKR lawmakers have said they are willing to give up their seats for Anwar, including Sungai Petani MP Johari Abdul and Selayang’s William Leong. – August 30, 2018.

  • How much more of Malay rights are you going to talk and push for it Anwar. You are basically another typical Umno racist who will see nothing else except ketuanan and power for themselves in the guise of bangsa and agama. There already many billionaires created for the Umno leaders in their grouping and still squeezing as much as they could crying out, that NEP has not achived for the Malay race and fooling as many rakyat to perpetuate the policy for it s too good an opportunity for the wealth are still there to be plundered. Honestly you have nothing to contributr to Malaysia except for all your whinning with nothing constructive to New malaysia. Your past legacy of Islamisation thru Arabisation are getting to be an irritant that is destructive to the Malaysia developement. How can we rakyat trust you to bring Malaysia forward and a competent PM. Enough of your nonscence.

  • We should have a policy to help the B40 of Malaysia. Anyone fitting the definition should get all the help and I think all Malaysians should support this effort. Dont go backward anymore; the under privilege should get all the help. If the majority of the help and support goes to the Malay for poverty reasons, let it be.
The view to the public will be great and the government can also be accountable to the Malays or Bumiputera for all the right reasons.

  • I am sick and tired of hearing about race, race, race. Why don't we go beyond race and just talk about needs, needs, needs. Race based parties are an anomaly in these enlightened times. They should have all been rejected long ago. We should talk about serving people and their needs no matter what race they are. This is humanism which is anti thesis to racialism.

  • If Anwar were to become PM, we might as well have voted for UMNO being in power. All the bad stuff will repeat again. He will destroy the country.

  • Before election, "Kita anak Malaysia, tak kira orang Melayu, Cina, India dan lain lain
After election, "Pay more attention to Malay rights"

As usual, they lie thru their teeth but yet they pray 5 times a day. We hope he will be sent to jail for his next sodomy crime again. This time he will stay inside forever together with another corrupted worm, Najib.

  • This Anwar has Umno DNA in him all the time. A leopard cannot change his spot. Hope there's a better Malay in Pakatan Harapan to be 8th PM instead of Anwar.

  • The new leadership needs to widen their fresh political horizon and not straitjacketed back to the old ways. There should not now be Malay fights that's been perpetuated over the last decades . The new govt that's fit for the fast moving 21st century should be progressive and be focussing on needy Malaysians instead of pandering to the old racist sentiments. The leadership should lead for a change and not be lead. The rakyat will be watching.
