CONTROVERSIAL Umno division chief and head of the red shirt movement Jamal Md Yunos said he has “discovered” 7,000 new voters in the Sekinchan state seat as part of the Barisan Nasional bid to wrest back Selangor at the 14th general election.

The Sg Besar leader said he hoped at least 85% of the 7,000 voters would vote BN at GE14.

Jamal said Umno leaders have targeted certain state seats which they are want to win at all cost.

“We will move the voters using all methods possible even though it will cost us millions,” he said at the opening of the Subang Umno Youth meeting last night.

“We have identified those with Umno DNA, so if their parents are Umno, then we will register them as voters… we have identified 7,000 voters who have never voted in Sg Besar before.”

Jamal told the 350 participants at the event in Subang, he would help wrest back the parliamentary constituency now held by Sivarasa Rasiah from PKR. The Subang constituency also contains three state seats – Bukit Lanjan, Paya Jaras and Kota Damansara.

He said they should emulate his move in Sekinchan by identifying new voters and moving them into the seats targeted by BN.

Sekinchan assemblyman Ng Suee Lim (DAP) in February accused Jamal of registering outsiders as voters in the seat. – July 30, 2017.
