PAS is urging its supporters to vote for MCA in the Balakong by-election as the Chinese party was now also in the opposition .
Party president Abdul Hadi Awang said this after presenting Dr Halimah Ali as the Seri Setia by-election candidate.
“God willing, yes we will urge our supporters and voters in Balakong to vote for MCA. Because we are both in the opposition camp. We share the same spirit.”
“I hope everyone will come out to vote on that day,” Hadi told the crowd at Desa Mentari, Selangor, tonight.
Hadi, who is the Marang MP in Terengganu, said PAS’ doors were open not only to Najib Razak but anyone who was voting against Pakatan Harapan.
“We welcome not just Najib Razak to campaign for us. He is welcome to come along but everyone is also invited.
“Anyone can come to join us.”
Hadi slammed PH for failing to deliver its promises made during the general election, including to abolish the goods and services tax.
“GST merely became SST. That is no solution for the people who are still suffering due to the heavy taxes.
“They make promises but they don’t deliver. They promise to abolish toll and to lower the price of fuel but things have remained the same.
“We ask the voters to think twice in this by-election. Maybe this is a small election but it has a big impact on our wellbeing.
“We can send a clear message to PH even if we can’t change the federal government. At least we will have someone to speak on our behalf in the state assembly.” β August 15, 2018.
