DR MAHATHIR Mohamad, who led Barisan Nasional in five successful general election campaigns, brushed off talk that Putrajaya could trace and punish civil servants who vote against the government.
His words will carry some weight given that during his time in office Kelantan, Terengganu and Sabah fell into the hands of the opposition, and Kelantan has remained so since 1990.
