Nga considering Palm Oil Board chairmanship offer, without salary

NGA Kor Ming will decide within the next 48 hours if he will take up the position of chairman at the Malaysia Palm Oil Board (MPOB).

Nga, who was appointed Dewan Rakyat deputy speaker, said he will not be drawing a salary if he chooses to take up the position but instead will consider it a service to the nation.

  • Well I hope he takes the issue of sustainable palm oil seriously and not fall into the RSPOs trap of negating EU concerns about the environmental impact on the rain forest as simply protecting their own home grown produce. Its not about that. So research the issue before taking on the role please.
