HINDRAF leader P. Waytha Moorthy will be made a minister in Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s cabinet.
The Indian rights group chief is rumoured to be sworn in later at Istana Negara as minister in charge of unity and minority rights.
“I look forward to serving in the cabinet,” Waytha Moorthy told reporters after being sworn in as senator today.
He said he was happy to be given a second stab at a ministership after quitting as minister in the Prime Minister’s Department in the previous Barisan Nasional cabinet.

The lawyer was appointed senator after the 13th general election and was made minister by then prime minister Najib Razak.
