Dr Mahathir is home minister while Muhyiddin recuperates from surgery

PRIME Minister Mahathir Mohamad will take over the home minister’s portfolio for a month while Muhyiddin Yassin recovers from surgery.

The home minister is on leave following an operation to remove an early-stage growth in the pancreas, the ministry said in a statement today.

The surgery was successful and Muhyiddin’s condition is stable, it said, adding he would be back to work in a month.
