PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang today took a different stand from party colleagues or other opposition parties, saying financial scandals, such as BMF, Perwaja Steel, Tabung Haji and 1Malaysia Development Bhd, should be resolved internally than invite foreign assistance.
“Whatever the internal issue, let our courts or people resolve it,” he said in an open letter published in the party website on the eve of Hari Raya.
“Whether we handle it cruelly or stupidly, let us suffer the consequences. We will repent and realise these mistakes in due course.”
Hadi said there are foreign forces and opportunists who will sacrifice Malaysian interests to attain their objectives.
“It’s sufficient that we have been ruled for centuries. The scars from colonialism have not healed yet and still, we are opening the door again to foreign powers to solve our problems.”
Using Spain as an example, Hadi said the fall of Islam in Europe came about after one of its leaders sought foreign intervention to resolve an internal conflict.
Islam, which had been in Spain for eight centuries, fell after a king accepted foreign aid, said Hadi.
“The light of Islam has been extinguished in Spain until now.
“I rather herd camels for the tyrant among us than herd pigs for someone else,” he added.
He said those who invited foreign intervention to win elections were equally immoral and without faith.
“Muslims also need to understand the latest international situation so they would be able to see nations that love to meddle into the affairs of other countries, especially those spreading Islamophobia.
“There is also a need to understand the lines of relations in diverse communities without sacrificing national integrity and national sovereignty.”
Hadi said those who betrayed the nation or spread slander will soon be punished, adding that PAS remained focused on its cause towards Islam. – June 24, 2017.

"...we are opening the door again to foreign powers to solve our problems...."
So, why have you said nothing about the donation your BFF, Najib Razak, got from a mythical Saudi prince?
"...I rather herd camels for the tyrant among us than herd pigs for someone else..."
Given the way your BFF is doing business with Beijing, I think herding pigs would be a more appropriate metaphor.
