AFTER promising to surrender to police at the Ampang police station today, Jamal Yunos did not show up.

The fugitive Sungai Besar Umno division chief had promised to go to the Ampang police station and clear the air over his disappearance from a private hospital before bail proceedings could be completed.

“The police can arrest and take him in if they find him anywhere now. I don’t know where he is,” his lawyer, Mohd Imran Tamrin, said today.

Jamal faces three charges – two for trespassing and one for public nuisance after he smashed beer bottles in front of the Selangor state secretariat in Shah Alam in October last year.

Jamal disappeared from a hospital in Ampang on Friday after he was charged with the three offences.

After police were unable to locate him, the Immigration Department was put on alert. – May 30, 2018.
