PUTRAJAYA today announced a replacement to the 1Malaysia People’s Aid (BR1M), which was introduced by the previous Barisan Nasional administration.

Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad said the mechanism for the new aid, called Bantuan Sara Hidup Malaysia (Cost of Living Aid), will be announced later.

“It will be totally different from BR1M,” he said when asked if the mechanism will remain the same. – May 30, 2018.
