POLICE on the murder case of Nur Farah Kartini continued their search today for evidence in a tapioca farm in Kampung Klan Halt, Slim River, Perak.
Hulu Selangor deputy police chief Mohd Asri Mohd Yunus said the suspect was believed to have been a part-time manager of the farm.
“A team of police officers from the Forensic Unit and the Criminal Investigation Division of the Hulu Selangor district police headquarters visited the farm today to conduct further investigation,” he told Bernama.
He said the team was also inspecting the red Toyota Vios car seized during the arrest of the suspect, a 26-year-old lance corporal who is also a police officer, last Monday.
Police are also analysing a SIM card belonging to the police officer.
The body of Nur Farah, who was a Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris student, was discovered in an oil palm plantation near Kampung Sri Kledang, Hulu Selangor, around 6pm on July 15, after she was reported missing on July 10.
A 26-year-old police officer stationed in Perak is in remand until July 22 to assist in the murder investigation.
Nur Farah was buried in the Kampung Nyiur Manis Cemetery in Pekan, Pahang, on Thursday. – July 21, 2024.
