THE police must review the rule of closing their station gates to members of the public at 10pm. 

The men in blue have always been open and transparent image in their dealings with the public, especially those who require immediate action assistance in an emergency situations.

The force has always made sure that people can easily file a report to encourage more to step forward with their complaints.

Even with the gates closed, things can still go wrong of the personnel on duty have a lackadaisical attitude about security.

It is a fact that we live in peaceful times. Your local station police personnel really do not expect to face life-threatening situations. 

Police leadership have to take cognisance of these changes and beef up station security with the appropriate show of force. – July 11, 2024.
