SEREMBAN 2 Fire and Rescue Station Operations Commander Harzizi Hashim reported that five workers installing solar panels at a building in the Oakland Commercial Centre were slightly injured when the roof collapsed. An emergency call was received at approximately 1:05pm.

“The roof measuring 6.1x30.5 metres collapsed while a solar panel was being installed at the premises.

“The five men were sent to Tuanku Ja’afar Hospital in Seremban for treatment,” he said in a statement.

He said the department also inspected the area to ensure it was safe, and the case had been handed over to police for further action. – Bernama, January 19, 2024.
