Police to submit investigation papers on trespassing incident at MB’s residence

POLICE said they would submit investigation papers on three media practitioners who allegedly trespassed on the Selangor menteri besar’s official residence to the Selangor deputy public prosecutor’s office tomorrow.

Shah Alam police chief Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said cops were able to complete the probe although the suspects were only remanded for two days.

He said investigations were conducted under section 447 of the penal code for criminal trespassing, which provides for imprisonment of up to three months, a maximum fine of RM1,000, or both, if found guilty.

“They were granted police bail and investigations were completed within the given duration. Tomorrow, we will send the investigation papers to the Selangor DPP’s office,” he said.

Earlier, a 29-second video went viral on social media showing three people appearing to be trespassing on the menteri besar’s official residence in Shah Alam. – Bernama, January 7, 2024.
