THE registration process for the Central Database Hub (PADU) won’t be postponed as technical issues have been quickly resolved, Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil said.
Fahmi, who is also unity government spokesman, said this was decided at the cabinet meeting today chaired by Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
“The cabinet did not decide (to postpone PADU). We find the system to be running smoothly, with issues raised having been resolved within a short period,” he told a press conference today.
Fahmi was commenting on ex-deputy minister Ong Kian Ming’s call for the government to postpone PADU registration until security flaws were fixed. – Bernama, January 3, 2024.
