COMMUNICATIONS Minister Fahmi Fadzil said he had contacted Mohd Roshdi Ramli, the husband of the late entertainment journalist Siti Nor Hafiza Kamarudin, for updates about her funeral arrangements.

In a Facebook post, Fahmi said Roshdi was waiting for a call from the hospital so he could register his wife’s death.

“While waiting, I will try to assist Roshdi and his two children. The Malaysian High Commission in the United Kingdom is also assisting in this matter.

“Let us pray these arrangements proceed smoothly,” he said.

Siti Nor Hafiza, 40, died at Charing Cross Hospital, London, at 11pm Malaysian time yesterday.

She was admitted to hospital after losing consciousness at Heathrow International Airport on December 27 en route to Malaysia after a vacation.

The journalist, who was attached to the Boom Malaysia and Jurnal Malaysia portals owned by KRU Media, was chosen to receive a sponsored travel package for her family to London. She left with her husband and their two children for the holiday in the middle of this month. – Bernama, December 29, 2023.
