BERSATU information chief Razali Idris took a swipe today at Rafizi Ramli, saying the PKR deputy president is portraying himself as a morally superior Malay.
He accused Rafizi of making the Malays look corrupt with his statements on the Jana Wibawa programme.
“Rafizi is portraying himself as a righteous or saint-like person; as if he is the only one who is honest and truthful.
“Rafizi also makes it sound like he is the only one who is championing the Malay, Islam and Bumiputera agenda.
“But he continues to throw accusation after accusation at the Malays, associating them with the Jana Wibawa funds.
“Have the courts decided on the Jana Wibawa case? If yes, who is convicted?” Razali said on Facebook, accusing Rafizi of playing judge.
The Bersatu information chief was responding to the economic minister’s statement yesterday saying the government would not be riding on Malays to enrich itself.
The Jana Wibawa programme was introduced by the Perikatan Nasional government during Muhyiddin Yassin’s tenure as the prime minister.
The programme, which wa to help Bumiputera contractors get work during the Covid-19 pandemic, has since become mired in a corruption scandal involving several Bersatu leaders.
Razali blasted Rafizi, saying the Pandan lawmaker has made a serious accusation, linking Malays to the Jana Wibawa funds.
“This Rafizi has preceded the judge, preceded the court.
“What evidence does he have?
“I’d like to stress to Rafizi not to be the minister of politics and propaganda. Please be a statesmanlike economic minister.
“Even after a year in power, he (Rafizi) still maintains the old fashioned style of politics. It’s unsure where the country’s economy is heading under this unity government,” he said. – December 21, 2023.
