THE new chief executive officer of the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) will be announced in due course, following the appointment of Amir Hamzah Azizan as finance minister II, effective today. 

In a statement today, EPF said Amir has played a pivotal role in the fund’s growth and success throughout his tenure as CEO. 

It said Amir’s key achievements include steering the EPF through various economic cycles and challenges and consistently achieving positive growth in investment income. 

“The EPF board, management and employees congratulate Amir for the appointment as finance minister II and are confident that his leadership will contribute significantly to the economic development of the nation,” EPF said. – Bernama, December 12, 2023.
