THE skeletal remains of a human were found on the banks of Sungai Malim in Taman Gadong Perdana, Malacca yesterday.
Melaka Tengah district police chief Christopher Patit said police were alerted at about 5.10pm to the discovery of the skeleton by anglers.
“Investigations by the forensic team and K9 Unit of the Malacca police contingent headquarters and Malacca Hospital pathologists confirmed that the skeleton was that of a human,” he said in a statement today.
“The remains were partly buried under leaves and sand,” he said.
He said no identification papers was found and police were continuing with investigations to determine the cause of death. – Bernama, December 12, 2023.
