PRIME Minister Anwar Ibrahim is expected to reshuffle his cabinet tomorrow, reported The Star today.

The report, quoting highly placed sources, said several ministries will be affected.

The English daily reported that several senior MPs who had previously served as ministers may return while a few MPs may make their debut as ministers.

It is understood that new ministers will be informed of a rehearsal taking place at Istana Negara tomorrow.

“An official announcement will be made before the swearing-in at 3pm,” an official said.

The reshuffle is taking place a year after the unity government headed by Anwar came into power.

The reshuffle will help to strengthen the government as a few ministers have come under fire for perceived poor performance while others say experienced leaders need to come on board. – December 11, 2023.
